This drop shoulder vest pattern is very unique with a permanent cable closure in the front instead of buttons. The fit is flattering and can be layered over a tank or turtleneck for year round enjoyment. It is knit from the bottom edge and is worked without side seams. It is knit back and forth until the front cable braid and then in the round. Markers are needed to separate the lace repeats around garment and 2 red markers to mark the front ribbing and cable pattern. There is no need for neck or arm trim after its done.

Next round:Join, p2, (k3, p2) 3 times, red marker, knit around garment to next, red marker, and stop. This is now the new beginning of your round.
Also in this same section on R15 the asterisk that represent repeats are missing and should read like this -
R15: (RS) red marker, p2, k3, p2, k3, p2, k3, p4, k3, p2, k3, p2, k3, p2, red marker, k6, yo, ssk,* k2tog, yo, k11, yo, ssk*, repeat between ** end with k2tog, yo, k6.
When you put your shoulder stitches on holders on back, it tells you to also put your neck stitches on holder. Instead bind off your neck stitches.
