Angel Wings Stole

This is one of the basic Shetland lace stitches called Horseshoe. By turning it upside down and adding a bead in the center it now looks like Angel Wings. The beads are the Angels heads. They  are added while you are knitting with a tiny steel crochet hook. This Scarf/Stole is started in the center with a Provisional Cast-On and worked in both directions.

This stole is knit with 2 strands of Lace weight yarn held together. I used  Helen’s Lace in the color Purple Iris and the other strand is Jagger Spun Zephyr silk/wool in the color Plum. You will need approx. 630 yards of each color you choose. You may also substitute the lace weight yarn with one strand of fingering weight yarn.
